The numbers
Every value on this page, so none of it is hidden behind a hover.
What this is and is not
Every game finished in the browser is recorded: the two scores, who led the first trick, whether Show hand was used, and a random number that groups the games played in one tab. Nothing identifies a player. The rules dialog in the game says the same thing.
The headline figure leaves out games where the hand was revealed, which measure nothing, and sittings of fewer than three games, which are mostly someone trying a hand and leaving.
It is not a controlled experiment. The endpoint that receives these
games is public, so a line records what some browser claimed rather than what was
played, and the people who find this page are not a random sample of Briscola players.
The interval beside the figure is the sampling error only — it does not cover either of
those. The honest reading is “this is how the games on this site went”, and the
per-sitting breakdown that would show a single source flooding it stays on the server,
where briscolai.scripts.human_results --sessions can print it.
